Hospice Foundation of Cortland County to Hold Annual Tree Lighting December 5th in Homer – Memory Boards Accepting Names

The Hospice Foundation of Cortland County’s annual Light of My Life tree lighting ceremony will take place on Friday, December 5th at 6:30pm on the Village Green in the Village of Homer. The annual event is an opportunity for those in the community to honor a loved one’s name on the memory board.

“The event provides an opportunity for donors to honor or remember their loved ones. Honorees’ names are listed on the Memory Boards displayed from the first Friday in December through the first week in January. The lighted holiday displays, including the Menorah, and the Memory Boards are open to the public 24/7. All are welcome to visit this heartfelt tribute to loved ones.” The Hospice Foundation of Cortland County says.

The event will include an evening of remembrance, music, and holiday special guests. The Hospice Foundation noted names are still being accepted to be added to the memorial board. You can do this by making a donation online at LightofMyLife.org. A suggested donation of $10 per-name is asked, but any amount will be appreciated. The organization has set a fundraising goal of $7,500 for this year.
