Homer Town Supervisor Announces Anticipated Completion Date of Town Hall Renovations
Homer Town Supervisor Mike Park announced a tentative completion date for the basement renovations at the Homer Town Hall during Wednesday’s Town Board meeting.
Park said April 10th is the scheduled completion date for the renovations. This comes about a month after Park said work was dragging and he cracked down on the remaining work needed to be completed.
“It is really coming along. The walls are painted, the ceilings are going in.” Park said. “Lights are going in. Trimwork is being done, windows are being painted. They are moving right now.”
Park added tile work in the bathroom begins Monday and carpeting and flooring will be installed later on. He added paint work is about 90% completed.
The Homer Town Hall is planned to be tentatively closed on Friday, March 27 to shut the power off to connect power in the lower level. Both town and village offices have been made aware of the temporary closure, Park added.
An open house will be held at a later date.
