Homer & State Police Provide Escort For Wreaths Across America

The Homer Police Department and New York State Police provided an escort for Wreaths Across America Tuesday morning. The escort was for a truck carrying wreaths that will be placed on veterans graves at the Veterans Cemetery on Onondaga Hill.

The wreath layings will take place on National Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, December 13th. The organization’s mission is to remember, honor, and teach. The day itself brings in over two million volunteers nationwide gathering to remember, honor, and teach at over 5,200 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad.

Homer Police and Troopers provided the escort from Cayuga to South & North Main before turning onto Clinton Street and up Route 41 towards Skaneateles. Troopers provided an escort from Dryden in Tompkins County.
