Homer Schools Announces Upcoming Mental Health Resource Fair – Open to the Public

The Homer Central School District has announced a Mental Health Resource Fair and workshop to take place on Thursday, May 2nd at the Homer High School. The event is for those ages 16 and up and open to the public to attend. The resource fair will be held from 5 to 6pm with the workshop taking place from 6 to 7pm.

The workshop will feature John Perricone, a bestselling author, and retired school teacher. Perricone is a nationally recognized keynote speaker. He was a Health Educator and Psychology Teacher in Maine Endwell School District for 31 years, Homer Schools said in a release.

Homer Schools says Perricone works with his audience by inviting them to reflect on their personal philosophies of life and how they impact their parenting, work life, and other relationships. The district says May is Mental Health Awareness month with the theme for this year being “Where to Start: Mental Health in a Changing World.”

No registration is required for this event.
