The Homer Central School District has announced an upcoming event taking place on Thursday, June 13th from 5 to 7pm at the Homer Central High School Auditorium. The event is Routines and Transitions: The Mental Health Connection with Boundaries for Children. The event is open to parents, teachers and the general public to attend.

The event is also sponsored by the Seven Valleys Health Coalition with local therapist Karen Dudgeon presenting. She will build on previous workshops she has provided to Homer Schools in the past.

“Karen will talk about the school expectations vs. home expectations, how to prepare for the transition to summer and back to school in the fall after a long summer break, and how summer routines can influence attendance struggles during the school year.”

Homer Schools said in a release.

In addition to the presentation, a light meal, childcare and supplementary book will be offered to those who pre-register for the event by June 10th. The district says walk-ins will be welcomed. To pre-register, click HERE.
