Local News

Homer Central School District is planning to undergo a $4.23M Energy Performance Project to reduce energy consumption, while providing numerous upgrades and enhancements at each of its schools.

Officials say the project will have no tax impact on residents and is completely paid for through state reimbursement and the amount of money it will save in energy costs.

A public hearing will be held on the topic next Tuesday evening (January 28) starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Homer Training and Education Center, before a final public vote is held that following Tuesday, February 4, at the same location.
