Homer Police Reminding Residents to Lock Their Vehicles – Investigating Break-ins on Cayuga and Nixon

The Homer Police Department is reminding residents to lock their vehicles whenever they’re unattended and to never leave valuables in plain sight or in the vehicle at all to would-be criminals looking through the window or checking to see if a door is unlocked.


Homer Police are currently investigating car break-ins that occurred in the overnight hours between Monday and Tuesday, July 9th. HPD says the incidents took place between 11pm and 4am in the area of Cayuga Street and Nixon Ave in the Village of Homer.

Anyone who may have surveillance footage of suspicious activity during the timeframe mentioned above is asked to call Homer Police at 607-749-2022.
