Homer Police Looking For Vehicle Involved in Hit and Run

The Homer Police Department is looking for a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run back on Tuesday, January 9th in the Village of Homer. Police say the hit and run took place around 5pm at Craig’s Total Auto Care at 2 South West Street (better known as Route 281).


Security footage captured the crash and the suspect then fleeing afterwards. In the video, the suspect’s vehicle was traveling southbound on South West Street when it then crossed over into the northbound lane then into the parking lot of Craig’s Total Auto Care where it struck three vehicles that were for sale.

Immediately after the crash, the suspects vehicle, described as a Red Ford Edge, pulled off to a side lot before then fleeing back onto South West Street and continuing to travel southbound. Homer Police say the vehicle should have damage on the front left side of the vehicle and the operator is believed to be a white male.

Homer Police continue to canvass businesses in the surrounding area for further video of the vehicle. Police are also asking any possible witnesses to crash to contact the Homer Police Department at 607-749-2022.
