Homer Police Chief Claims Victory in Chicken Wing Eating Contest

On Saturday, March 4th, at the Homer Elks Lodge was their Winter Celebration, which included a chicken wing eating contest. The proceeds of the chicken wing eating contest go to Cerebral Palsy.




Attendance was high with officers from the Cortland County Sheriff, Cortland Police Department, Homer Police Department, and a retired officer from the NYPD amongst the contestants. There were three rounds of wing eating with the wings becoming hotter and hotter after each round.

These hot wings didn’t stop Homer Police Bob Pitman from taking victory in the contest. Cortland County Sheriff’s Officer Sandy placing second and City of Cortland Police Officer Perkins coming in third.
