Homer Police Asking Residents to Lock Their Doors – Be Vigilant

The Homer Police Department is reminding all residents to keep their doors and windows locked at their homes and to also keep their vehicles locked up with valuables out of sight from would-be thieves.

The announcement comes after reports of break-ins in other municipalities in the Central New York area. Homer Police say thieves are now breaking into houses where there are unlocked doors or windows and then stealing wallets, valuables, and car keys.

Residents are asked to stay vigilant and if they see something suspicious or unusual, to report it to police.
