The Village of Homer Mayor, Hal McCabe, has been ranked in the City and State New York Economic Power 100 list; with his position at number 86.
The list recognizes leaders who have made a significant impact on economic development statewide. McCabe was recognized for his work as Executive Director of the Cannabis Association of New York. With his work, he has advocated for the industries small growers regarding new regulations by the state which were not sufficient in helping the state’s small businesses equitably enter the market.
City and State New York is considered a leading media organization in covering government and politics. The organization cited McCabe’s strategic policies and initiatives that have consistently propelled economic advancement.
“I am truly humbled to be included in the City and State New York Economic Power 100 list. This is a testament to the economic potential of the Adult-Use Cannabis Market here in NY, generally considered the 2nd largest market in the world.” Mayor McCabe said in a release.
