A Town of Homer man was recently arrested by Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies for felony criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree as well as appearing in public under the influence of a narcotic.
The incident occurred when Sheriff’s officers responded to the Pit Stop gas station on Route 11 in the Town of Cortlandville for a report of a disorderly person. That individual, 36-year old Casey Brown, was located in the store and taken into custody without incident. Brown was later found to be in possession of an illegal weapon.
Brown was taken to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed on his charges, arraigned and released on his own recognizance. Brown returns to court at a later date.
