According to news release from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department, a Homer man was arrested on Saturday, December 23rd after officers noticed he was speeding.
In the early morning hours around 2:25am, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle driven by 42 year old Christopher Mowry for speeding on Homer Ave. in the Village of Homer.
He was found to be intoxicated and with a revoked license. He was also in violation of conditions from a previous driving while intoxicated conviction requiring him to have an ignition interlock device on any vehicle he operates, according to police.
Mowry was charged with felony DWI, Felony Aggravated operation of a vehicle 1st degree, misdemeanor operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device, violation of speeding in zone unlicensed operation of a vehicle, and possession of marijuana.
He was arraigned in the Town of Homer Court and released.
