This Friday (October 26), Homer High School will be hosting its first ever Engineering and Manufacturing Day.
Numerous businesses and colleges will be participating in this two-hour event.
Students in grades 9 – 12 will be able to speak directly to employers about the necessary skills they’ll need to obtain a job later on. There will also be college admissions representatives available to discuss relevant courses of study.
The program will run from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. and be split into two sessions.
One session will be a panel-type presentation in the auditorium and the other will be career/college fair-style in the gymnasium.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in both 50-minute sessions.
The goal of this event is to highlight local and regional career opportunities and educational pathways in the diverse fields of engineering and manufacturing.
