The Village of Homer Fire Department is holding their annual Fire Prevention Open House tomorrow, October 20th beginning at 6pm, at the Homer Fire Station at 45 S Main St. in the Village of Homer.
The fire department encourages residents to stop by tomorrow evening and learn about fire prevention and watch interesting fire safety demonstrations.
Those demonstrations include:
- Turkey Fire Demonstration – Placing a frozen turkey into a deep fryer.
- Christmas Tree Demonstration – Two Christmas trees, one dried and one properly watered to see the difference in how quickly the fire spreads.
