The Homer Village Farmers Market is now officially canceled for the remainder of the year.
Mayor Hal McCabe had previously said it was unclear whether or not the market would open as planned in early June.
His doubts came after COVID-related budget damage forced the board of trustees to make $250k in cuts and furlough seven village employees.
More details on those changes are available here.
During an interview, McCabe spoke more about having to cancel this year’s farmers market.
