One staff member and one student at Homer Intermediate School recently tested positive for Covid-19.
Superintendent Tom Turck made the announcement yesterday (November 1) via ParentSquare.
As a result, three additional students will need to quarantine.
Last week, two other staff members in the district came up positive — one at the elementary school and another at the intermediate school — along with one junior high student and two intermediate students.
This led to an additional 15 student quarantines, 13 in the elementary school and two at the junior high school.
In each case, school district staff worked with county health officials to identify and notify close contacts.
