Homer Center for the Arts Nominated For Sammy Award

The Homer Center for the Arts has been nominated for a Sammy Award in the People’s Choice section for Local Venue. The Sammys Award Show is an annual celebration of the Syracuse and Central New York music scene. The first Sammys award show was held back in 1993 at the Landmark Theater in Syracuse.


This year’s awards will be presented between March 7th and 8th with round one voting of the People’s Choice taking place from January 16th to the 21st. The top 64 in each category of the People’s Choice awards will advance to round two on January 23rd.

There is voting for Local Artist or Band, Local Event or Music Serious (Homer Harvest Ramble is in this category), Local Academic or Musical Organization, and Local Venue (Center for the Arts is listed in this category).

You can vote online by clicking here, voters may vote multiple times in each category, but only one vote is recorded per artist/band, event/music series, academic/organization, or venue per day.
