The Homer Business Association (HBA) met last night at the Center for the Arts for their annual full membership meeting and dinner.

During the event Village of Homer Deputy Mayor Pat Clune spoke to members of the association on the progress of the Villages Downtown Revitalization Initiative and the Roland Fragnoli Award was presented.
This year’s recipient of the Fragnoli Award was posthumously awarded to James Hopkins. Hopkins was the former president of the HBA. He was well known in the Homer community not just for his height, but his effort within the community and the events held within the village. Current President of the HBA, Don Richards of Complete Construction Concepts accepted the award in honor of Hopkins.
The award was named after Roland “Frog” Fragnoli, the founder of Homer Men and Boys Store on Main Street in Homer, for a member of the HBA who exemplifies the following characteristics and criteria of Fragnoli.
James Hopkins passed away in 2021 due to complications from COVID-19.
