The Village of Homer Board of Trustees held a meeting on Tuesday night to go over various agenda items.
That included the approval of a resolution for No Mow May, which is part of a wider movement to help environmental pollinators by allowing homeowners to not mow their lawns in the month of May without incurring a code violation. Registration with the Village offices is required by May 5th to be part of the No Mow pledge.
Updates were also brought to the floor for discussion including on the Downtown Revitalization Initiative. Village of Homer Mayor Hal McCabe stated that a kickoff meeting would be held May 8th with the first official meeting on the DRI to come on May 16th.
