Homer Football has won the NYSPHSAA Class B sectional championship, defeating New Hartford 34-20 in a classic battle at the Carrier Dome.
The Trojans and Spartans went back-and-forth most of the game.
A fourth quarter push resulted in victory for the hometown team.
Village of Homer police & fire will provide a special escort for their bus as it arrives home at Exit 12 on the interstate.
Community members are encouraged to join the celebration at about 6 pm.
Emergency vehicles will lead the parade down Main Street, then loop back towards the high school.
