Homeless Man Fires Shotgun In Altercation At “The Jungle” Site In Ithaca

A homeless man was arrested in Ithaca over the weekend for firing a shotgun during an altercation with a woman at the homeless encampment known as “The Jungle.”

Ithaca Police say 30-year-old Terrance Jones threatened to stab a female during an altercation Saturday night and eventually fired off the shotgun at least once before fleeing the area.

The female was not injured and Jones was located early the next morning in a South meadow Street grocery store.

He was arrested and remanded to jail on $20,000 cash/$40,000 bond.
