On Monday, June 20th City of Cortland Police Officer’s along with ambulance staff took Frank J. Deangles to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center for treatment of an unspecified medical issue.
Police say while at the hospital, Deangles became violent and attacked two officers including punching them.
One officer suffered swelling and discoloration and a cut to the nose.
A Guthrie security member was also injured and was later found to have a concussion. Additionally, three other members of the Guthrie staff were struck.
Deangles was arrested and charged with two counts of assault in the 2nd degree. (a felony)
He was sent to Cortland County Jail with no bail.
