With Memorial Day Weekend this weekend, police agencies throughout Cortland County will be taking part in a High Visibility Campaign as part of a wider statewide campaign of STOP-DWI.
The campaign will begin on Friday, May 26th and go until Tuesday, May 30th. Travelers should see an increase in marked and unmarked police vehicles patrolling looking for impaired or distracted drivers.
Those who plan to go out and drink are encouraged to use the free app “Have a Plan.” The app will be able to find a safe way for people to find a safe ride home. More information on the free app can be found HERE.
