SUNY Cortland administrator Fred Pierce updated city council last night on covid-19 and vaccination rates at the university.
To-date this semester, only 1.11% have tested positive, well below the state average.
Just three students are currently isolated with the virus. All 64 designated quarantine buildings are unoccupied.
Nearly 94% of students are fully vaccinated.
Of the other six percent, many are completely remote and not on campus for any reason.
Around 200 others were approved for medical or religious exemptions.
Four individuals have been unreachable, despite multiple attempts by phone and email:
“At this point,” said Pierce, “they will be dismissed this week.”
