Family Counseling Services and its subsidiary Family & Children’s Society, and partners were awarded a $1.64 million state grant to create the South Central Behavioral Health Care Collaborative (SCBHCC).
The aim of the new program is to reward quality of care and better health outcomes, rather than the volume of services provided.
The award will help create an 8-county network of local providers and support services.
The partners goal is healthier people, better care, and lower costs.
Cortland partners include Catholic Charities of Cortland County, Family Health Network and Cortland County Mental Health.
