Redistricting:
A lower court ruling suspending New York’s statewide redistricting is on hold through Thursday, pending appeal. That’s when Democrats will ask the court to make the stay permanent.
Budget:
The legislature approved a spending extension bill to keep the state government operating through Thursday, as work is completed on a new state budget. State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli says approval came a little late and some state employees may have to wait to get paid.
