On Saturday evening, August 19th, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to an address in the Town of Harford for a reported domestic disturbance.
After an investigation by officers, they found 35 year old Richard H. Wheeland of Harford, had intentionally damaged property that belonged to the victim. Wheeland was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th, a Misdemeanor.
He was transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed, arraigned, and later released on his own recognizance. Wheeland is due to appear in Harford Town Court next month.
