Just before 8pm on Friday, July 26th, officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart in Cortlandville for a shoplifting complaint. An investigation by officers determined 51 year old Scott D. Barber of Harford, failed to scan and then pay for merchandise he left the store with.
Barber was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny a Misdemeanor and was taken to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office. He was processed and later released on an appearance ticket. Barber is due in Cortlandville Town Court next month.
