Harassment, DWI, And Marijuana Among State Police Arrests

New York State Police arrested a man from Groton Sunday night around 9.

Troopers say Brandon Thompson, 28, was involved in a domestic dispute at about 4:30 am the day before.

According to the police report, he’ll answer to charges of Petit Larceny and Harassment in Groton Town Court.

Late Sunday, State Police arrested Dustin Lannoy, 25, of Dryden, for marijuana possession and use of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest followed a call to police over an argument on Upper Creek Road in the Town of Dryden.

When troopers walked through the garage, the odor of marijuana stopped them.

Looking around, they found marijuana in mason jars, a scale and packaging.

Lannoy was released on appearance tickets until his April 25 court date in the Town of Dryden.

Friday morning, just before 10, State Police in Homer arrested a woman from Lowville for DWI following a two car accident on Rt 281 in Cortlandville.

Troopers say Beth Leppert, 37, ran a red light and hit another vehicle.

Police say there were no injuries.

Leppert is to appear in Cortlandville Court next month to answer the DWI and traffic tickets.
