Guthrie Recognizes Generosity of Community in Donations For Food Drive

The Guthrie 2023 Holiday Community and Caregiver Food Drive has been deemed a major success thanks to the generosity of the community, Guthrie announced.

The drive ran from November 28th through December 15th. Members of the community donated non-perishable food items at Guthrie’s five hospitals, including Cortland.

Guthrie says donations reached a literally “ton” of food, which will be donated to help fight food insecurity. The food was given to Child Hunger Outreach Partners, Corning Food Bank, and the Seven Valleys Health Coalition.

“We understand that community health begins with a healthy meal athome, and we are proud to support efforts to ensure that individuals and families have access to nutritious and sufficient food.” Guthrie said in a release.
