The Guthrie Clinic’s newest facility opens today (Monday) in downtown Ithaca.
“Ithaca City Harbor is more than a building, it’s about the people inside. We thank you for allowing us to serve you and we look forward to seeing you at our new facility,” said Guthrie Clinic President and CEO Dr. Edmund Saganegh, in remarks provided to X101 News.
“The ability to anchor a project in such a key piece of the city’s development was a fantastic opportunity, both for Guthrie Clinic, and more importantly, for our patients.”
Gastroenterologist Dr. Karen Kim hopes the new building will attract new patients.
“We’re gonna have this beautiful brand new building that’s downtown, so it serves a slightly different audience and so we’re hoping to be able to provide more access to more and that we’ll be able to provide a lot of specialty care there that has been harder for patients to access.”
Guthrie describes its new Ithaca City Harbor building as a $30-million three-story medical office building, offering primary care, walk-in care and 20 specialties, including Audiology, Colorectal Surgery, Breast Care, General Surgery, Optometry, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
