Due to expected inclement weather, the public meeting on the proposed Alvena Ave. parking lot reconstruction project, tonight at 5:30 pm, has been moved indoors to the Guthrie Cortland Medical Center cafeteria.
Pending final approval from the city, the project calls for the abandonment of a portion of Alvena Ave., which would then be closed to traffic. The reconstruction would allow for the hospital to move forward with a project designed to better serve patients, employees, and hospital neighbors.
The neighborhood meeting will include hospital leaders and the project architect. They will provide an update and timeline for the proposed project and answer questions from community members.
