U.S. News and World Report has rated Guthrie Cortland Medical Center a 2022-2023 High Performer for the treatment of pneumonia.
The score for Guthrie came from data on multiple categories including patient survival, discharging patients to home, nursing staff, ICU specialists and more. There were over 4,000 hospitals that were qualified in this category, with Guthrie Cortland Medical Center among the 12% that received a rating of High Performing.
“This recognition is the latest example of our commitment to being the community’s choice for health care,” said Jennifer Yartym, SVP, Guthrie Cortland Medical Center President. “Our patients can be confident that our team of caregivers will deliver the highest quality care.”
U.S. News generates these hospital rankings to help patients decide where to receive care. To be nationally ranked in a specialty, a hospital must excel in caring for the sickest, most medically complex patients.
