The main entrance to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center has reopened beginning today, June 14th. The reopening marks the completion of Guthrie’s three phase project to rehabilitate the hospital’s parking lot.

Guthrie says the main entrance reopening will now have patients and visitor traffic return to pre-construction patterns. Those patterns include:

Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Entrance: For nursing home visitors and cardiac rehab patients.

Emergency Department Entrance: For patients seeking emergency care, as well as outpatients with appointments in our cardiology or pulmonology departments which are located below the Emergency Department.

Main Hospital Entrance: For all other visitors and patients arriving for imaging, lab work or other office appointments, surgeries and other procedures.

“We appreciate your patience over the last several months and hope you will see the benefits of all the changes which include more handicapped parking and a better environment for patients and visitors with mobility issues.”

Guthrie said in a release.

Finishing touches are expected to include landscape work in the area.
