Guthrie Cortland Medical Center Installs EV Charging Station – Part of Ongoing Modernization of Cortland Facility
The Guthrie Cortland Medical Center has installed an EV charging station, the installation was part of Guthrie’s redesign of the main parking lot to the hospital, which was completed earlier this year. Guthrie says the installation is another move towards the ongoing modernization effort of the Guthrie Cortland Campus.
The charging station will provide a sustainable option for patients, visitors, and caregivers who drive either fully electric or hybrid vehicles, Guthrie added in a release. Guthrie partnered with Power Management Company, who are an energy consulting firm and leading provider of EV charging solutions.
“This project not only reinforces our commitment to environmental sustainability, but supports the transition to clean energy,” said Jen Yartym, Guthrie Cortland Medical Center President. “We’re excited to see how these new charging stations will benefit our staff, patients, visitors, and the community as a whole.”
The new stations installed have two ChargePoint CP6000 dual-port stations, which can provide charging to four vehicles at a time in dedicated spaces. The charging stations are located adjacent to the maintenance building on the eastern side of the hospital with access via Homer Ave.
