Guthrie Cortland Medical Center is once again partnering with the Central New York Area Health Education Center to host students from its surrounding schools for MASH Camp, or the Medical Academy of Science and Health.
During the two-day event happening tomorrow and Thursday (July 24-25), students will be able to explore different health careers and cover everything from on-the-job-training to an advanced college degree.
They’ll learn about the educational requirements, skills, job duties, and personal qualities of successful health professionals, as well as participate in hands-on scenarios that highlight the skills, equipment, technology, and resources used in these careers.
The event will also feature a Mercy flight helicopter landing on the hospital’s green space, giving students’ an opportunity to meet the flight team and explore the helicopter.
Camp opens at 9 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. both tomorrow and Thursday.
