Guthrie Announces Saturday Mammograms For Month of October

The Guthrie Clinic has announced for the month of October, Guthrie says they will be making it easier for women to prioritize their well-being by offering Saturday mammogram appointments at multiple locations within the Guthrie network. The announcement comes as the month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Guthrie says with the business of daily life from work and family commitments and endless to-do lists, it is common for women to put their own health on the back burner. Guthrie’s initiative looks to remove one of the largest barriers to preventative care: time. Guthrie continued to add that when it comes to breast cancer, early detection is critical and regular mammograms are the most effective tool for finding cancer at its earliest, most treatable stages.
