Nobody was injured in a drive-by shooting last week in Cortland, which led to one man’s arrest.
It happened late Monday night — just past midnight on Tuesday (July 12-13) — near West Court Street and Haskell Place in the city.
Witnesses heard a gunshot that was fired from a vehicle passing through the area.
City police investigators interviewed several people and also obtained nearby video surveillance footage that identified 35-year-old James M. Knight, of Harrison Street in Cortland.
He was charged with felony weapons possession, along with misdemeanors for reckless endangerment and prohibited use of a weapon.
Harrison went before a judge on Friday (July 16) and was later released under NYS parole supervision.
No other suspects are wanted at this time.
