Full guidance was issued Friday by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association regarding fall, winter and spring sports.
Spectators are limited to just two per player and groups must remain six feet apart from those not in their household.
Masks are required to be worn in all common areas, as well as whenever social distancing cannot be guaranteed.
Practice for fall sports begins September 21 and games can begin starting 10 days afterwards. High-risk sports remain practice only, including football, cheerleading and volleyball.
Decisions on Modified/JV sports have been left up to individual school districts.
Remote learners are being allowed to participate in athletics.
As far as champtionshiop tournaments, there will be none for states or regionals, but sectionals can be held.
