Homer Center for the Arts director Ty Marshal discussed the long-awaited parking lot project, which finally broke ground this week after years of planning and fundraising.
Marshal also gave an update for the community on various events and programs that were rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The full list can be found at Center4Art.org.
July 19 is the tentative date for the Center’s first show coming off what will at that point be a four-month hiatus, when Grammy-winning country band Asleep at the Wheel is set for an 8 pm start.
While the facility is closed to the public until further notice, Center staff can still be reached Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00am – 4:00pm at 607-749-4900 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Community members will be gettting some excitement before then, however.
Marshal closed the interview by teasing a special event in development that’s earmarked to take place late next month. Stay tuned for more details on that coming soon.
