Greek Peak has announced they have upgraded the Learning Center and New Terrain Based Learning Course for new skiers and snowboarders. The company announced it is one of a select group of resorts to utilize Terrain Based Learning on the mountain this ski season.
Terrain Based Learning, Greek Peak says, is a type of process for teaching beginner ski and snowboard lessons which will utilize purpose-built snow features in assisting the learner to achieve movements, sensations and body positioning that is needed to ski or snowboard.
“Terrain Based Learning removes the traditional fears and anxiety from learning to ski and snowboard and puts the focus on fun.” President of Greek Peak Mountain Resort, Wes Kryger said in a release.
Kryger continued on saying as the mountain entered its 65th anniversary this year, it was the perfect time to introduce more newcomers to snow sports.
“The Learning Center at Greek Peak will be available for station or self-guided teaching through the use of the TBL Course, so whether you’re brand new to the sport or interested in returning to the mountain for a fun experience, we have just the program for you.” Kryger continued.
Greek Peak says there will be five Terrain Based Learning stations in the Learning Center Zone near Chair 3 on the mountain. The stations will include: The Flats, The Mini-Pipe, The Rollers, Banked Turns, and The Perfect Slope.
