Great New York State Fair Opens Wednesday

The Great New York State Fair is set to open this Wednesday, August 21st at 9am. The fair will be open for 13-days through Monday, September 2nd, Labor Day. The fair will be open daily 9am to 11pm; there will be no re-entry after 9pm. On Labor Day, the fair will close at 9pm.

Buildings on the fairgrounds will open at 10am daily, with the midway opening at 11am. Parking this year will be $12 per vehicle. All lots will be card only, no cash will be accepted.

Park and Ride options will be available at the Centro Transit Hub in Downtown Syracuse, Long Branch Park in Liverpool and at Destiny USA. The fee is $1 for adults, $.50 for seniors and kids 6 to 9 years old. Those 6 years of age and under and those living with disabilities may ride for free. Parking at Park and Ride locations is free.

Tickets for general admission to the fair will be $8 and those 65 and older or 12 and younger are admitted free everyday.
