A Siena College poll of registered voters in our state shows widespread support for many of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s State of the State and Budget proposals.
His four most popular proposals are creating a $2 billion clean water infrastructure fund, giving preference in state purchases to American-made goods, allowing ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft to operate across the state, and extending the millionaire’s tax, which even has the support of 61 percent of Republicans.
New Yorkers are a little less negative about the new president. His favorability rating dropped to 37-55, down from 41-53 in December.
On seven other issues, the poll showed most New Yorkers think he’ll make America worse.
The poll results were released Monday morning.
