Governor Andrew Cuomo and his leading challenger in the polls Republican Marc Molinaro have agreed to a one-on-one debate today (October 23), which will be recorded in New York City this afternoon and aired on both radio and television at 7:00 tonight.
The debate will air at 7:00 p.m. on affiliate CBS stations and will not feature the three third–party candidates: Libertarian Larry Sharpe, Green Party nominee Howie Hawkins and former Syracuse Mayor and Independent Stephanie Miner.
Current polls show Gov. Cuomo leading the pack and ahead of Molinaro by at least 20 percentage points.
Tonight is so far the only scheduled exchange between Cuomo and Molinaro, just two weeks ahead of the General Election on November 6.
