From 6am to 10am today (August 11) at area Dunkin Donuts there will be a fundraiser for the Special Olympics. The fundraiser, Go For The Gold (formally known as Cops on Top), brings volunteers and area law enforcement officers together to raise money for a great cause.
“Hopefully people stop on by, donate to the Special Olympics and grab a cup of coffee on their way into work.” Village of Homer Police Chief Pitman said to X101 News.
Those who make any donation will receive a free donut coupon and those making $25 donations will receive an official 2023 Go for the Gold t-shirt.
You’ll see them both inside and outside at the drive-thru asking for donations.
Participating Dunkin locations include:
- 31 S. West Street – Homer
- 36 North Street – Dryden
- 162 Tompkins Street – Cortland
- 152 Clinton Ave. – Cortland
