Our Senator, Kirsten Gillibrand will join nine Senators to visit Poland and Germany this weekend.
They’ll observe the U.S. and NATO response to the war in Ukraine and hope to come up with ways congress can help.
Six Republicans, two Democrats and one Independent Senator will make the trip.
“This strong, bipartisan delegation proves the Senate stands united in its support for Ukraine,” said Senator Gillibrand in a statement provided to WXHC.
“During our time in Poland and Germany, we will have the opportunity to gain greater insight into the U.S. and NATO response through engagements with top military leaders. We will return with a better understanding of how Congress can and should continue to support the Ukrainian people and our NATO allies, and see firsthand the heartbreaking humanitarian impact of Putin’s war of aggression.”
Due to security concerns, further details regarding the bipartisan congressional delegation visit cannot be released at this time.
