It was a good start for Maple Syrup production for the State of New York. For 2022 New York State maple syrup production was 845,000 gallons, which is a 31% increase from the year prior.
The increased production didn’t come from extra taps, which remained the same, but the yield per tap increased to .291 per gallon, compared to .223 in 2021.
Vermont currently takes the throne when it comes to the number one ranking in maple syrup production.
