X101’s Matt Brooks was joined in the studio by Library Director of the Phillips Free Library Priscilla Berggren-Thomas to preview several events coming up hosted by the library.
This Saturday (June 11th) they will be hosting a Summer Reading Kick-Off Event from 10am till noon that will feature High Key Science, Crafts, Story Laurie, Lawn games, and more.
Then on Monday, June 20th, three events make up Juneteenth: A Telling. The events aim to educate those on the national holiday that marks the date those enslaved in the United States were freed.
