Gas Prices are expected to begin rising again as the nation begins to wind down its current dependence on the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which has been drawn from for over a year to add to the market supply and help bring down prices, according to AAA.
New York’s average price for a gallon of gasoline stands at $3.43 a gallon with Cortland County averaging at two cents per gallon higher, at $3.45 a gallon.
Diesel prices continue to slowly decrease, now at an average of $5.27 a gallon in the state. Compared to a year ago where diesel prices were at $3.75 a gallon.
